Best Kits
For an IDS (GR) kit, Revell are regarded as the best kit currently available in all four of the major scales. Italeri kits in 1/48 are not to be dismissed. They are a quick build and come with great decal sheets.
For an ADV (F.3) In 1/72 the Hasegawa kit is very good, but the Revell re-boxing of the Italeri kit is almost as good but is considerably cheaper. The Revell boxing also corrected a problem with the canopy framing on the original Italeri release. In 1/48, again the Italeri kit is popular with SIG members but has been recently supplanted by the 1/48 Revell kit. In 1/144 Dragon make an F3. 1/32 is challenging, there is an old Revell F2 kit that is quite difficult to find but it can be built up to a very reasonable representation of an F2. There are conversions available for Revell's 1/32 IDS kit.
